A small sports park would fit well here with a lighted oval jogging track and basketball/tennis courts for Laguna Hills residents. It would help LH to be recognized as a health conscious city and beautify it at the same time. With its proximity to LH high school and the soccer fields it would be an extension and add great quality of life. The 5 Lagunas will have enough retail/living space with its added apartments. A classy city sports park would help beautify the city.

Alicia Parkway to Valencia Hon,Georgia Sue, Jorie, Weyburn, Ashland, Clarington is a "short cut" thru our neighborhood. 800-900 cars per day, average speed greater than 25 mph, signage and stop signs have not controlled this problem. Residents who live on Costeau etc travel to Hon turn left and drive thru my neighborhood. The city has heard multiple complaints in the past from the neighbors..nothing effective has been done to decrease the # of cars, running stop signs, speeding. Lake Forest, MV, Laguna Niguel, has all installed speed bumps in problematic neighborhoods. What is the plan to control this dangerous topic before someone gets hit or killed by the general public. Thank you. Margaret Flanagan, Georgia Sue

It is time to kick these thieving bums out and do something for ourselves. That eyesore looks like a war zone from the 5 fwy, and the poor owners of Kings Fish House, and etc., who remodeled relying on the false promises of those real estate charlatans have suffered enough! Let's do this. to quote Horace: "Don't think, just do."

Did you know that 1 in 285 kids WILL be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 20? Did you know that childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by diseases in kids under the age of 19 in the US? Or how about that dogs have a higher rate of cancer, as much as 70% higher in a household that uses lawn chemicals?
One of the big causes... pesticides, which is an umbrella term for ALL cides, like herbicide, fungicide, etc. Cide means to kill and cide is not picky about WHAT it kills.
The quality of life diminishes when herbicides such as Roundup are being used in our city and the drift of these poisons come in contact with all who are near. Remember, cide is not picky. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup is now found in breast milk and urine and wrecks havoc on the human body and especially children, elderly, and pregnant women.
Cities such as Irvine, Encinitas, and San Clemente have all implemented Organic Landscape Management.
Laguna Hills... what are we waiting for?

There are profanity filled pop-ups on Alicia and El Toro. This does not make our community very family friendly or inviting. Not to mention they block the sidewalk access.

The power line trail from Sheep Hills Park on Indian Hill Lane to Dinosaur Park/Community Center is covered in Graffiti. The property is owned/managed (I assume) by the Laguna Hills HS, City of LH, and the power company. The area get cleaned and the next week there is tons of graffiti on the fences, walls, power equipment, and trees. Perhaps we could install cameras in the area to prevent and to catch taggers? Is this a viable idea?

Every time we have rain or fresh air the people who burn wood in fireplaces ruin the air quality.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had that fresh air and no wood burning!

In the last few years the number of private aircraft using our airspace has increased dramatically. Since discovering the free site www.flightradar24.com I have been able to catch low flying aircraft (below 1,000') and the FAA has already opened a case with one particular plane out of John Wayne. When I spoke with the FAA they suggested I contact the City as they can make a difference in complaining to the FBOs who rent the planes at SNA. The FAA said that it could be possible to influence them to practice elsewhere. It is certainly worth the attempt. I have been tracking flights and have a lot of data. There really is no reason to practice over our community. I was a commercial multi-engine instrument rated private pilot trained out of SNA and TOA and never did maneuvers over Laguna Hills where an engine failure would be catastrophic. Engine failures happen in light aircraft, I've had two.

By requiring a Soils report on every pool build, you are irresponsibly harming members of your community. A soils report costs around 3 thousand dollars. You require them on all new builds, this represents a burden you are putting on homeowners without an explanation as to why one is needed. You are harming members of the community by not providing a valid explanation for the need for a soils report, and you are not researching whether or not one is actually needed, you are just requiring them all together. Get your head out of your butts and think, this is harming members of your community. It also makes our inspector look like they dont know what they are doing, which is hillarious, because I know the staff of the city have been at home sitting on their butts for the last year, literally doing nothing, when kids play and adults play right outside of the community center. What a joke.

Please know when you decide not to help in a time of need, YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME. We all have a responsibility to help in this great time of need. I do not understand why you would sue to keep COVID patients from being housed in a hotel in Laguna Hills. We are helping the most vulnerable, and we're helping a Laguna Hills business. There is no patriotism in refusing to help. Please do not make me ashamed to live here.

The science is in... We are in a climate crisis. Gen Z is angry and want the "grown ups" to fix the mess that is being left for this under 18 generation. Their voices, in the millions worldwide, are asking for help and to DO something. When our children are asking for help, we must do what we can to help them. Let's come together and take action now with simple solutions that can help immediately. Plant evergreens. It helps with air quality. Plant native plants. It helps the pollinators. Stop using harmful chemicals that destroy soil and contaminates our water ways that affect our watershed/migrating birds. Let's use goats instead of glyphosate :) Eat less meat or go vegan. It drastically reduces water usage and greenhouse gas emissions among other things.
Hey Laguna Hills Council Members- What is your part in making our city a sustainable place to live?

I always find it hard to see the street signs at night, but if the poles were painted white they would not blend into the sidewalks.
