Overnight street parking permits should be implemented for residential neighborhoods with a limit of 4 per household. As South OC gets more and more crowded they city should implement this initiative now. There are too many commercial vehicles parked on residential streets as well as homes that have multiple broken down cars on their driveways and in front of their homes. The 72 hour rule is not working, is not enforced, and does not address the issues at hand.

I object to the plan to remove the Mazda dealership commercial space, and rezone 60% of it as residential space. One of the charms of Laguna Hills is that its residential space is built out, and we are not experiencing the residential blight that is occurring in Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel. We are in desperate need of attractive retail space with relevant tenants - the majority of time I go shopping I am leaving Laguna Hills because we don't have appropriate retail tenants. The LAST thing we need is more high-density housing! The housing development next to the Laguna Hills Mall makes me want to cry! Enough already! Fix our commercial space and stop selling out to the highest bidder!

SEE THE REPORT FROM THE OC GRAND JURY, FOLLOW WHAT 12 OTHER CITIES HAVE DONE AND BAN TOXIC GAS LEAF BLOWERS. ARTICLE SAYS ONE LEAF BLOWER = 17 GAS CARS. I HAVE TO CLOSE MY WINDOWS SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK IN LAGUNA HILLS SO I DON'T HAVE TO TASTE, SMELL AND HEAR THE LEAF BLOWERS. THERE ARE OTHER NON-TOXIC WAYS TO GROOM OUR PROPERTIES. PLEASE TAKE THE LEAD AND BAN THE BLOWERS.

There are many Laguna Hills homes rented out to companies to be used as sober living facilities or halfway houses. The residential neighborhoods do not have enough parking to accommodate this as there is no limit on how many people can reside in the home. These facilities directly impact the value of the neighboring homes. Please consider establishing pre-approval to ensure the neighborhood and street will not negatively impacted, and guidelines to ensure cleanliness and safety for the surrounding neighborhood.

The sidewalk is too narrow on La Paz if you are traveling south bound between Grissom and Paseo De Valencia. If you come at 8:15 am or 2:45 pm on a school day you will see 50+ children risking their lives on that sidewalk. This sidewalk needs to be widened before someone gets hurt.. I walk my children on this sidewalk every morning and afternoon. Cars are speeding past at such an alarming speed in the morning. I have had a cars side mirror bump into my child's backpack as it speed by in the right turn lane (luckily I was the one holding it at the time) We have had 2 car accidents in the past 2 weeks near this intersection. I am afraid every morning for my children, and have started to be the crazy lady yelling at cars to slow down. As a start Can we please place an officer at this intersection in the morning and afternoons a few days a week? 8am-8:45 and 2:30-3:00? Can we also get the sidewalk widened before a child get hurt or killed?

Slopes on one side of P de V are maintained by the city while on the opposite side it is the homeowners responsibility. The slopes maintained by the homeowner are in generally poor condition. As two of the major transportation arteries into our city these are a poor exposure to our city.
I am aware of the history and the issue of ownership of the slopes. However, the people who pass by these slopes just once or regularly are not seeing our best foot forward. Particularly when they are able to see how one side of the streets and the center median (on Alicia) are so well maintained. I expect this negatively impacts property values, not just for the adjacent homes, but for the entirety of our city.
